AhlulBayt News Agency: The Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky, delivered a speech on June 15, 2025, marking the event of Ghadeer.
Addressing followers at his residence in Abuja, he expressed gratitude to Allah for the blessing of being among the people of Wilayah (allegiance) to Imam Ali (AS).
He emphasized that the significance of Ghadeer is so profound that all Prophets sent by Allah commemorated a similar event.
Zakzaky explained that it was no coincidence that all Prophets appointed their wasiy (heirs) on Dhul Hijjah 18, ensuring that their ummah was never left without a rightful successor to continue spreading the divine message.
He further stated that the celebration of Ghadeer is one of the major Eids for the Ummah, alongside Eid al-Kabir, Eid al-Adha, and Jumaa, as mentioned in a hadeeth from Imam Jafar As-Sadiq (AS).
Regarding the ongoing war between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Israel, Zakzaky remarked that the world is now divided into two sides, urging people to choose between standing with the people of Wilayah or aligning with global arrogance.
He prayed for Allah’s assistance for the people of Yemen, who have resisted American and British intimidation, stating that Yemenites have demonstrated their defiance against foreign naval threats.
Zakzaky concluded by praying for steadfastness in Wilayah AhlulBayt (AS), emphasizing that allegiance to AhlulBayt is a religious obligation for all Muslims.
